Bankaltimtara Opens Cash Office in Long Mesangat, Residents Are No Longer to Save Money at Home

Head of Long Mesangat Sub-District, Emmanuel Eng, most happy among the invitees who attended the Opening and Opening Ceremony of the Long Cash Office of the Regional Development Bank (BPD) of East Kalimantan and North Kalimantan, the first and only bank office that stood in Long Mesangat District , Tuesday (8/14).

When asked to give a speech in the presence of Bankaltimtara Managing Director (Director) Zainuddin Fanani, Head of Corporate Secretariat Abdul Haris Sahilin, Head of KC Sangatta Siswanto, along with other entourages and invitees, Emmanuel said that the opening and inauguration of bank offices in a sub-district with a population of around 4,000 this is like a dream.

Emmanuel made sure, his words were not mere jokes. It's been almost 20 years or rather since the transmigration program began to run in the area, a bank office became a rare item for residents. He also said that the area he led was isolated, minimal infrastructure development and not all villages were electrified.

During this time, because the bank was not there, residents were forced to save money at home. Can be in a closet, under a pillow, and in other places that are considered safe. ASN in Long Mesangat is also very difficult when you want to take a salary and other financial needs. If you want to take cash and other banking services, residents must go to the bank office in Muara Ancalong, which requires two hours to reach it.

Luckily, some time ago stood Bankaltimtara in Muara Bengkal District, which was a one-hour drive from Long Mesangat. Although the road to go to Muara Bengkal is not concrete asphalt but the company's hauling road, this alternative is far better than having to go to Muara Ancalong.

And now, the dream of citizens to have their own bank office in Long Mesangat District can finally be realized.

"So our dream for 20 years came true," he said. Emmanuel also said, the majority of residents are employees of the company. Because the banking service opening hours coincided with the work schedule at the company, he requested that an ATM machine be established in Long Mesangat District. And fortunately, this request was immediately responded to by Bankaltimtara Managing Director, Zainuddin Fanani. Zainuddin promised that no later than the end of 2018, an ATM machine would be established in Long Mesangat District.

"This is a gift from Bankaltimtara for the people of Long Mesangat and the surrounding villages, at the celebration of the 73rd Independence Day of the Republic of Indonesia as it has been dreamed of for 20 years," Zainuddin said.

As a Development Agent, serving the community to the interior, remote, and border, according to him, it has indeed become Bankaltimtara's commitment.

Long Mesangat is the 101st District of a total of 103 sub-districts in East Kalimantan that have been served by Bankaltimtara. If it is confronted, 30-35 percent of the sub-districts are still classified as inland, remote, remote and on the border.

Thus, those who have not reached Bankaltimtara's banking services remain two more sub-districts, namely Nyuatan and Siluq Ngurai, both of which are in West Kutai Regency.

And the target, Bankaltimtara will be present in these two sub-districts no later than December 2018. Zainuddin said that building Indonesia, East Kalimantan, from the periphery is also in accordance with the program of President Joko Widodo, and indeed Bankaltimtara has long been carried out.

Zainuddin also stressed that what is being done is not merely about business. First, Bankaltimtara must be a development agent. Second, the right of the people to feel that development is in principle the same.

As a bank owned by the East Kalimantan and Central Kalimantan Provincial Governments as well as all Regency Cities in East Kalimantan and North Kalimantan, Bankaltimtara must also present development to the community in accordance with their fields of work. Regardless of whether the community is in the city, inland, remote, or even border. (*)
