Economy Not Stable, Finance BPD Kaltim Stay Healthy

BPD Kaltim re-recorded its achievements, managed to maintain unqualified opinion (WTP) on the Financial Report of 2015 from Public Accounting Firm (KAP).

This opinion is given by KAP Sriyadi, Elly, Sugeng & Rekan based on the audit result that the financial statements are presented fairly in all material matters, financial position, business result, and cash flow in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles.

This achievement proves the healthy financial condition of BPD Kaltim, despite pressure from global, national and regional economic conditions that are slowing down in 2015.

Global economic growth of only 2.4% in 2015 is very influential on the national economy and Kalimantan economy.

Furthermore, the decline in regional economic growth in Kalimantan in 2015 is generally caused by the economic contraction that occurred in East Kalimantan.

Until the fourth quarter of 2015, Bank Indonesia Representative of East Kalimantan recorded East Kalimantan economic growth is still contracted -0.5% (yoy).

East Kalimantan's growth is depressed by -0.9%, much lower than the national economic growth.

Meanwhile, the inflation rate of East Kalimantan in the fourth quarter of 2015 decreased by 2.4 points from the third quarter to 4.89% at the end of 2015 which is the lowest inflation rate in the last five years.

Although the national and regional economies are still unstable, throughout 2015 BPD Kaltim has successfully maintained its performance seen from the financial ratios of KAP audit results.

The seven components of the financial ratio are: Return on Assets (ROA) 1.56%, Return on Equity (ROE) 10.35%, Loan to Deposit Ratio (LDR) 103.54%, Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR) 19.85 Non Performing Loan (NPL) Nett 1.64%, Operating Expenses to Operating Income (BOPO) 85.30% and Net Interest Margin (NIM) 6.03%.

The seven components are above the average of Bank Indonesia's standardized financial ratios: ROA 0.5% s.d 1.25%. ROE 5% s.d 12,5%, LDR 78% s.d 92%, CAR Minimum 8%, NPL Nett Maximum 5%, BOPO 94% -96%, and NIM 1.5% s.d 2%. The acquisition of this WTP opinion is also a proof to the community that BPD Kaltim as a healthy bank continues to grow to promote Kalimantan and build Indonesia.
